Former police officers face new charges over George Floyd’s death

Derek Chauvin, a former Minneapolis Police officer, now faces second degree murder and manslaughter charges after kneeling on the neck of George Floyd for almost eight minutes. Jury selection will begin next week. Three other officers go on trial in August.

In an exclusive interview with CGTN’s Dan Williams, Floyd’s aunt, Angela Harrelson, said that she and the family are worried justice won’t be achieved, but she’s also calling for calm.
