U.S. initiative to understand long-hauler COVID-19 syndrome

According to Johns Hopkins University, there have now been roughly 115 million cases of COVID-19 globally.

More than 2.5 million people have died of the disease. But many more still suffer from residual symptoms, some of them quite severe.

That’s led to a new U.S. government initiative aimed at better understanding and treating what’s become known as long-hauler syndrome.
