Former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is again in the spotlight of Brazilian politics, following a Supreme Court decision that opens a path for him to run for re-election in 2022.

The former leader, known popularly as ‘Lula’, had been barred from political office following his criminal convictions tied to the massive Car Wash corruption scandal. CGTN’s Paulo Cabral reports.
