Southern U.S. border sees surge in unaccompanied migrant children

With a new administration in the White House, and a more benevolent outlook on migration policy, Central American migration is once again beginning to surge at the border.

But there’s a new element to the humanitarian crisis which wasn’t expected, and they’re some of the most vulnerable people ever seen on an already perilous route.
