U.S. rolls out apps to alert people to COVID-19 exposure

New Mexico has become the latest U.S. state to launch what’s called a COVID-19 exposure notification app. 

The phone app tells those who’ve downloaded it whether they’ve been around someone who ​has tested positive for the coronavirus. ​

But, as CGTN America’s Hendrik Sybrandy reports, ​a reluctance to embrace the technology is calling into question how effective it can be.
