The Heat: U.S. politics and Biden’s agenda

The Heat

United States President Joe Biden, who has focused heavily on the COVID-19 crisis since taking office, is now trying to make progress with his economic plans.

On Monday, Biden praised his administration’s efforts at job creation. And he wants Congress to take action on his plan for a huge investment in America’s infrastructure.

But, after another mass shooting in the U.S. over the weekend that left seven people dead, Biden will face more pressure to deliver on gun control. There are questions also too over immigration reform and the U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan.
