Six months ago, Donald Trump rallied thousands of his supporters gathered outside the White House to “fight like hell” in a bid to stop Joe Biden from replacing him as president.

Within minutes, lawmakers in Congress – including Trump’s own vice-president – tasked with certifying Biden’s legitimate election victory were running for their lives from a mob who stormed the Capitol building.

Six months on, the U.S. under Biden is recovering from the pandemic and returning to some kind of normality. January 6 has left its mark both inside and outside the Capitol.
