Venezuela struggles to get its students back into classes after COVID pandemic

Venezuela says it’s on track to return students to classrooms by October after nearly 18 months of disrupted learning because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Venezuela is not alone in the plight of the so-called ‘lost generation.’

The lack of Internet and smartphone access, and almost daily power cuts have made it almost impossible for students to catch up.

But returning to school is not going to be easy either.
