Huawei’s chief financial officer Meng Wanzhou has been detained in Canada now for more than a thousand days as she fights extradition to the United States. We will have more on her controversial case later.

But we begin with the on-going crisis in Afghanistan, still reeling from a terrorist attack at the Kabul airport on Thursday that killed dozens. Now, as the clock ticks down for the U.S. to complete its withdrawal from the country, will thousands of those who helped America be left behind?
