Fleeing Afghanistan after Kabul’s fall

On August 15th Dr. Wais Aria was in Kabul, attending a meeting at an NGO he founded.

It’s called TABISH and provides mental health services for traumatized Afghans including women, internally displaced people and child soldiers.

By sundown the Afghan capital fell to the Taliban, and Dr. Aria had begun a difficult journey to get his family out of the country.
