What to expect from Biden at UNGA

While the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to keep attendance numbers down at this year’s United Nations General Assembly, U.S. President Joe Biden is among leaders planning to be there in person.

Analysts say he’s likely to focus on reestablishing the country as a leader in international affairs, while seeking to repair damage done to that image by the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan.

Biden’s first speech to the UN as president is also likely to be noticeably different to those of his predecessor Donald Trump.
