UN panel convenes to discuss crisis of internally displaced people

A panel of experts has told the UN that the internal displacement of people within their own countries is the world’s most neglected crisis.

More than 55 million people around the world currently fall into that category with the numbers increasing year by year.

A new report on the issue calls for governments to take responsibility and come up with solutions for those displaced within their borders.
