House committee grills fossil fuel companies on global warming

Four of the world’s biggest oil companies and U.S. lawmakers made history this Thursday with a reckoning over climate change.

They came together in Congress to testify under oath for the first time and answer allegations that they’ve covered up their impact on global warming.

Their evidence was given as world leaders gather to try yet again to find consensus on preventing irreversible temperature rises blamed for increasing natural disasters.
