Canadians rescued after landslides and torrential rain

Canadian authorities have rescued hundreds of people stranded by landslides caused by severe torrential rain over the past few days.

The storms have cut rail lines to the country’s biggest port as well as a crude oil pipeline. It’s another major environmental disaster after record heat brought devastating wildfires to the same region over the summer.
