The Heat: Omicron surge in the U.S.

The Heat

Cases of the Omicron variant are exploding across the United States, with more than 145-thousand people hospitalized. Overall, infections are also at record levels with the U.S. averaging more than 700-thousand new cases a day. Heath officials warn the coming weeks will be the most challenging of the entire pandemic.
Even more startling, the country’s top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, says everyone could get sick.
