California pushes for new water restrictions

The U.S. state of California has been in a drought for two straight years. It has taken a toll on the agriculture, environment and other sectors. Months after Governor Gavin Newsom extended an emergency declaration, the state legislators are now pushing for new restrictions for water consumption. The proposed prohibitions could determine if and how residents use water for washing their cars or watering their lawns. CGTN’s Ediz Tiyansan reports from Los Angeles.
