Other police officers involved in George Floyd’s death head to trial

The U.S. federal trial of three former police officers involved in the death of George Floyd in May 2020 begins in Saint Paul, Minnesota on Thursday. Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Lane all face Justice Department charges of abusing their position as police officers to deprive Floyd of his constitutional rights. Derek Chauvin, who was filmed kneeling on Floyd for some nine and half minutes, won’t be in attendance. CGTN’s Dan Williams has the latest from the courthouse in Saint Paul.
