“The worst is yet to come” in Ukraine. That’s how French President Emmanuel Macron described the situation after a 90 minute phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin – according to the Elysee Palace.
Russia has captured its first major city in Ukraine, the port of Kherson. Russian and Ukrainians also held another round of talks in Belarus. Both sides agreed on creating a safe corridor for people to leave the country and humanitarian supplies to come in.
