Inflation in the U.S. remained high in April but slowed a fraction from the previous month.
The consumer price index rose 8.3 percent, having jumped 8.5 percent in March.
Even so, inflation remains at a 40-year high.
So, could lowering or eliminating U.S. tariffs on Chinese imports help rein it in?
That’s one of the questions the Biden administration is considering as it reviews Trump-era duties maintained on hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of Chinese made goods.
