The Heat: World Environment Day

The Heat

“Only One Earth” is 2022’s World Environment Day theme with emphasis on “living sustainably in harmony with nature.”

This year is also the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment that led to the creation of the first World Environment Day held in 1973. Since then, the United Nations reported that four key climate indicators all set new records in 2021 with climate change, increased temperatures, rising sea levels and loss of biodiversity wreaking havoc on our planet.
