How Florida’s condo laws have changed since Surfside condo collapse

It was ​one year ago ​(June 24) when a residential building in Surfside, Florida, collapsed, claiming the lives of 98 people.  

The building was in the process of a 40-year ​safety recertification when the tragedy occurred. 

Many believe the collapse could have been prevented with better oversight and more stringent building codes.
