The costs of America’s war on terror

This Sunday, September 11, marks 21 years since the most devastating terror attack on U.S. soil.

Nearly 3,000 people died at the hands of terrorists who hijacked jets that flew into New York’s Twin Towers and the Pentagon.

Passengers on a fourth flight overcame the hijackers before it crashed into a Pennsylvania field.

The atrocity led to 20 years of U.S. overseas military intervention at an enormous human and financial cost.
