Unprecedented flooding in Pakistan, a record-breaking heatwave across China, Historic drought in the American Southwest.

These weather extremes are clear breaks from what’s historically ‘normal’ for these areas.

‘Normal’ for this time of the year in the Atlantic is tropical formations, but this year, it’s been eerily quiet.

Only two storms have developed into hurricanes so far and none has made landfall.
