Controversy over Texas migrant busing

World Today

Another 50 migrants have been dropped at Vice-President Kamala Harris’s Washington, D.C. residence on Saturday, the latest in a wave to be bused from Texas to the country’s capital.

It follows months of efforts by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who has sent more than 10,000 migrants to Democrat-controlled cities after they crossed the southern border into his state.

More recently, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, another Republican, has taken credit for flying dozens of migrants to Massachusetts, deepening the political dispute over border security in the run-up to Midterm elections in November.
