Mental health in the U.S. AAPI community

It’s a “perfect storm” of crises affecting the mental health of the Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders community in the U.S., according to a public health professional.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, attacks on the AAPI community have increased.

Local organizations in New York have been proactive in tackling the issue: offering extra support like self-defense classes, therapy animals for comfort, and “sharing circles” to connect with others.
