Covid-19 sets students back academically

The Covid-19 pandemic caused significant damage to the U.S. economy, but it also had a major impact on the educational sector, the U.S. Department of Education revealed. 

According to a Department of Education survey of how 4th and 8th grade students in the US are faring, reading scores are down to 1992 levels. 

Math scores for 4th graders are down to 2005 levels and for 8th graders down to 2003 levels.
