Violence, hunger, poverty and disease. Just some of the massive challenges facing the small Caribbean nation of Haiti. It’s an ongoing crisis with no end in sight.

It’s the poorest country in the Western hemisphere. Now Haiti has once again descended into chaos amid widespread food and energy shortages, soaring prices, gang violence and a new outbreak of cholera. The UN estimates a record 4.7 million people are experiencing high levels of food insecurity, nearly half the country’s population.
