China and Pakistan agree to strengthen ties as Beijing hosts a series of meetings with several international leaders.

China is hosting a round of separate high level meetings with leaders from Germany, Tanzania, Vietnam and Pakistan. It’s all part of a fresh outreach following the conclusion of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

In the latest meeting, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed to strengthen multilateral cooperation in a number of areas, including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
