Migrants deaths at U.S.-Mexico border hit record high

According to the latest data from U.S. Border Patrol, more than 850 migrants have died trying to illegally cross the U.S.-Mexico border in the past 12 months, a record number for one year.

The U.N.’s International Organization for Migration called it “the deadliest land crossing in the world.”
