Just days after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s return to power, Israel’s new far-right government takes action against the Palestinians.

Israel’s Security Cabinet has approved a series of punitive measures against the Palestinian Authority.

It comes a week after the UN General Assembly voted and approved a resolution requesting the International Court of Justice give an opinion on the legality of Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and east Jerusalem.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a swift response.

Palestinian leaders have rejected the allegations and are calling for international condemnation.
