Volunteers help improve community on MLK Day

Many Americans had Monday off in honor of Martin Luther King Jr., the civil rights leader who fought for equality through nonviolent resistance.

MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service. And volunteers across the country heeded the call to give some of their time to help improve their communities. Hear the story of one such volunteer in Austin, Texas, who is a retired school teacher.
