Abortion restrictions limit training of future U.S. doctors

Sunday marks the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, a landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion across the U.S. before it was overturned last summer.

Since then, abortions have been severely restricted or outright banned in at least 13 states.

That is impacting doctor training with some OB-GYN residents now forced to travel out of state, or even out of the country, to get the abortion training they say they need to keep their patients safe.
