Over 50% of Argentina’s farmland lacks water

In Argentina, a prolonged drought has impacted its agricultural sector.

More than 50 percent of Argentina’s farmland was affected by a lack of water, according to a report by the INAI Foundation and Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange.

It is the third year of drought for the major agricultural exporter. The impact will be not only on the country’s economy but also on world food production.
