Florida home insurance market in crisis

Homeowners in Florida pay more to insure their property than in any other U.S. state.

Analysts and officials say it’s due to rampant fraud and litigation which amounts to losses of more than $1 billion.

With the market on the brink of collapse, Florida legislators passed emergency reforms late last year.
