Economists fear Venezuela slipping back into hyperinflation

Economists in Venezuela fear the country may be slipping back into a cycle of hyperinflation, just a year after it emerged from a four-year period of crippling high prices.

At the start of 2022, Venezuela completed 12 months below the threshold, with inflation remaining below 50 percent each month. Now, there are fears of a relapse.
