Brazilian startup works to deliver clean water to indigenous communities

Brazil declared a public health emergency in January in the Yanomami territory – the country’s largest indigenous refuge- after a government report revealed that hundreds of children died of malnutrition and other preventable diseases caused by illegal gold mining.

While an operation is underway to expel the miners and deliver medical aid to the affected communities, a Rio de Janeiro startup is helping to provide safe drinking water to them.
