Former U.S. President Donald Trump prepares to surrender in New York.

A historic day is about to play out in New York on Tuesday when former U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to turn himself in to authorities.

Trump, who was indicted last week, arrived back in New York on Monday after traveling from his residence in Florida. He is the first American president to be indicted. The charges center on Trump’s alleged involvement in hush money payments to a porn star who claims the two had an affair.
