Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announces his bid for the White House. And, will the U.S. default on its debt?
Negotiators reconvened Wednesday to continue talks on the U.S. debt ceiling. The nation is at a critical juncture as the $31.4 trillion dollar debt limit inches closer to the deadline of June first. U.S. Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy and the White House had this to say earlier.
Meanwhile, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has announced his run for the 2024 presidential election. DeSantis joins a number of other potential Republicans in the race for the White House.
But, will he be able to secure the party’s nomination for the presidency against Donald Trump?

If Ron DeSantis hopes to defeat Donald Trump and win the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, he will ultimately have to bring every possible anti-Trump voter he can into the fold. But even that likely will not be enough, political analysts say https://t.co/JCdJnSTmKY
