Leaders and delegates from the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum are meeting in Lima, Peru this week. APEC promotes economic cooperation, trade and investment, among its 21 Pacific Rim economies. They now account for over 60% of the world’s GDP and nearly 40% of the global population.
