It is no secret that U.S. President Donald Trump harbors strong criticisms of the nation’s most prestigious universities, which he perceives as having become excessively liberal or as he often characterizes them, “woke.”

Last week, Trump delivered the commencement speech at the University of Alabama and talked about what he hopes will be a shift in the country’s future.
