June 20th is the United Nations World Refugee Day which highlights the plight of refugees around the world and honors their resilience and courage.

As of June 2017, there are 65.5 million people who have been forcibly displaced, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Here are some other important statistics about refugees:
