Jane Kiyo

Jane Kiyo is a general news reporter for CGTN Africa based in Nairobi, Kenya. She joined CGTN from the Nation Media groups, NTV in Nairobi.

Prior to NTV, Jane worked with Citizen TV as a news anchor. For about nine years, she has been in Kenya’s vibrant TV industry. Jane has covered a wide range of issues in Kenya and Africa as a whole with an interest in politics. Her major Journalistic assignments include Kenya’s 2002 and 2007 General Elections and the post election violence, Presidential elections in Rwanda etc.

Since joining CGTN in late 2011, she also widely covered  Presidential elections in Senegal South Sudan’s referendum and independence, Somalia conflict  2012 -AU summit, sentencing of Charles Taylor for crimes against humanity in Sierra Leone and Liberia, Nigeria Boko Haram attack  etc,.

Jane is also a budding photographer who spends hours taking and looking at pictures.
