Mohamed Hirmoge is a Kenyan-Somali Journalist based in Mogadishu, Somalia. He is a correspondent for CGTN in the Horn of Africa. Mohamed is a foreign reporter in Somalia´s capital, Mogadishu that is well known for its hostility towards journalists.
Mogadishu is one of the world´s most riskiest cities for foreign reporters. However, Mohamed has since reported on more positive aspects of a city torn apart by two decades of civil unrest and militancy albeit rising from the ashes to reconstruction.

Mohamed has secured interviews with the Somali Prime Minister, the Mayor of Mogadishu and President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti on the Somalia question.

He has filed many front line stories from Mogadishu where African Union peacekeeping forces battle the Alqaeda linked Alshabab militant group almost on a daily basis.
