Nitza Soledad Perez

Nitza Soledad Perez is the Miami correspondent for CGTN America.

During the last decade, she has traveled extensively covering U.S. national politics of American and Latino interest, as well as Latin American politics.

Her assignments have taken her to Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Trinidad Tobago, Guatemala, Denmark and others, reporting on elections, political turmoil, economics, climate change, natural disasters and social unrest.

Nitza has interviewed many Latin American leaders throughout the years. Recently, she covered President Xi Jinping’s visit to the Caribbean and Central America.

Nitza joined CGTN America from Russia Today. Previously, she was a local anchor for NBC Spanish in Washington and TeleSUR’s main correspondent in the U.S. capital. She started her career at ABC News Network in Washington D.C. She holds a Master’s Degree in international relations from American University in Washington D.C.
