Science commentator Ira Flatow on gravitational waves discovery

World Today

It’s a scientific discovery for the ages. Gravitational waves, first predicted by Albert Einstein 100 years ago, have been detected and heard for the first time.

They’re described by scientists as a sort of ripple in the invisible fabric of the universe, and could transform the way we look at the world and outer space.

CCTV America’s Mike Walter spoke to Ira Flatow. He’s host and Executive Producer of Science Friday, a program for stories about science and technology.
