Just like in the movies, robots are slowly starting to become more integrated in daily life.
In Silicon Valley, they’re even being created and deployed to take on one of America’s favorite foods: pizza.

At Zume, everything about pizza making is being re-engineered.
The vehicles deliver pizzas within a 15-minute range, Zume has also built this Wi-Fi enabled truck for longer distance orders.
56 remotely-controlled ovens can cook pizzas on the road.
And Zume isn’t done making robots either. It’s currently working on Vincenzo, a more expensive robot that can take the pizza from this 850 degree oven and deliver it to a mobile oven, which will go onto the delivery trucks.
Zume is also in the process of building a robot that can shape the crust-which is currently Joe Lozano’s job.
Zume believes innovation, speed and lower labor costs allow it to use higher quality ingredients than the competition-disrupting a $40-billion dollar pizza industry that in the end is all about customer satisfaction.
