When you mention the word “Chicha” in Latin America most people immediately think of the Andean beverage made of fermented corn or yucca. But in Peru it also recalls a style of music born in the country’s Amazon region in the 1960s.
Then Chicha art came along reflecting the music with bright colors of the country’s social history.
