Costa Rica’s Ecological Success

In 1998 Costa Rica implemented a biodiversity law, which became a model for other countries. The law called for the creation of conservation areas and the sustainable use of natural resources.

In 2019 the UN named Costa Rica; “Champion of the Earth” for its ambitious plan to decarbonize its economy. To understand the trajectory of these achievements, Full Frame dives into a personal conversation with Dr. Arnoldo Andre. He is the Central American country’s current Minister of Foreign Affairs.

It was a pivotal moment in time, as it influenced international environmental laws.
