Australian PM Confident Signals are From MH370

Australia’s Prime Minister Tony Abbott says searchers are confident that acoustic signals in the Indian Ocean are from Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.  At the same time, however, those electronic signals are fading, Abbott added. He is in Beijing, where he met Chinese President Xi Jinping for an update Friday.

The two pledged their continued support in the search. The plane’s final resting place in the Indian Ocean is still a mystery though, as the hunt continues. Based on an analysis of satellite data, officials believe the Boeing 777 flew off-course for an unknown reason and went down in the southern Indian Ocean off the west coast of Australia.  CCTV’s Tony Cheng has this report from Perth on Prime Minister’s visit to China.
