This year so far,  automakers have recalled about 11 million vehicles in the U.S. alone. And no brand is immune — even luxury vehicles are included.

Experts say high number of recalls are due in part to a more complicated manufacturing process and software related glitches. But they also attribute it to frayed nerves at car companies. What does this mean for vehicle safety? CCTV correspondent Karina Huber has more on why 2014 may be a big year for recalls.
